Unravel was a great debut story by the talented Aashna K. It took me a few chapters to really understand what was going on, but once I was past that hump, I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough, and found myself hooked! Basically, it's the story of Vienna Roy, who feels like she's having a breakdown, and can't understand why. And since I feel like it's so much better to go into it blind, I'm not going to reveal anymore about the plot. I will say that the layers are crazy, and I never really figured out how to untangle them on my own brain power, so instead, I just f-bombs throughout. Plus, even with some questions answered, not all mind you, I have quite a few left, so I've been left on a cliffy, which means that I have to add Aashna K to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and already hash tag her #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE! Now, I really loved Vienna, with all of her crazy, while Kingston, not so much, but I can't tell you why, or spoiler douchery would appear. There's also a cast of secondaries that the jury is still out on, because they added more questions marks to the whole mix. I can say this, the next book CANNOT COME OUT SOON ENOUGH, as I'm not sure this new talented author can redeem Kingston well enough for me, so time will tell! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Unravel is a deeply moving, darkly twisted debut story by Aashna K. The cover alone indicates that the story will be beautiful but haunting. I'm going to be honest, I found the beginning to lag a bit and that was hard for me to stay interested, but I'm thankful I did because this story did not disappoint! Our main character is struggling with her mental stability, but she doesn't truly understand why. She feels as if she is on the verge of a breakdown, but again, doesn't know why. While I won't ruin the plot for you, Vienna knows in her gut that something is not right. She knows that things are not as they seem and that mystery and intrigue is what kept me flipping pages as quickly as possible. Now, having loved this first novel, I'm stuck with my angsty waiting for book two! Looking forward to seeing how this story continues to "unravel."
Just by looking at the cover I knew that Unravel by Aashna K. would undo me. Sadness, betrayal, love, and anger were all thrown at me at once. Kingston has only ever had one love, one that drew him out of the darkness and into the light.... but unknowingly this kind of love... utterly destroyed him.

Vienna fell in love with Kingston. But she walked away leaving no trace but only a shadow of doubt behind. Years pass until they see one another again, and all these unsaid feelings come back to play. But what Kingston doesn't know, is that there is more then meets the eye.

There's a reason why Vienna left.
There's a reason as to why she doesn't remember what they shared all to long ago.

And it will Unravel everything they shared.

With Unravel being Aashna K.'s debut novel, I loved it.
A sad angsty love story that blew my mind.
I can't wait to see what comes next with book 2.
For Unravel being Aashna K’s debut novel, I would have to say she did a really good job. For me the beginning of the story is a bit confusing, but I think that was done intentionally, because by the end it all makes so much sense. In the beginning we meet Vienna, and follow her step by step through sort of a break down. Things in her life start abruptly changing, and a past she’s unsure of comes back to visit her. Everything that follows that is a whirlwind.

I’m not going to say much about the plot of this book, because I believe you should go in sort of blind because it has layers that are UNRAVELed slowly. (Like that one huh?) What I will say is that this story is emotional and deep, and at some points gives off a bit of a soap opera plot vibe. If you enjoy emotional, dramatic and angsty romance, then this story is ABSOLUTELY for you.

This story has a “to be continued” ending, but I feel the first half of a story was told and completed, but now we wait for the more.
This book was surprisingly amazing. I feel like I’ve hit the jack pot with my new found indie authors this last month. March has been good with the newbies for me (this is why indie authors rock).

This is book one for Miss Aashna and it was pretty darn great. It did prove to be a bit of a slow read for me. It took me awhile to adjust to her writing style.
Once I got the swing of her words and flow, the story was remarkable.

Vienna’s character was a tough one to stay connected to. Although- I feel with this story, you didn’t really need to feel it from her. You knew something was different but you couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Her timid behavior was always out of place and I’m thankful we were able to figure out why in book one.

For me, Kingston was top notch alpha. He’s like every little package you could dream of. Taker of no malarkey, strong, sexy with a deep heart he didn’t share with everyone. He sounds perfect. I’m begging the author to let him bend a bit in book two. Or maybe I’m not, I don’t know.
I do however know I love him. Yep, it’s love.

Alex...... what to say about Alex. Talking about his role will really give too much away but I would like to send a plea to the author for more of him in book two. There is something there. The mysterious Alex needs his story told. My curiosity begs for more Alex.

Overall review of this book- I’d say it’s defiantly worth taking a chance on. If you love an angsty story, then buckle up! Aashna K proved to me one of the most angsty writers I’ve ever read. There were a few times I had to walk away to let go of some of the stress she induced! Hahaha
